I have found this recipe on internet in 2016 when my exhaustion would keep me in laying position for weeks.  The unpleasant, to say the least, Hep C virus had taken a toll eventually on my endocrine and nervous systems. I would get irritated by any noise or electronic devices. As my abdominal pain would intensify and prevent me from turning over and sleeping on my belly, I would lay on my back or on the right side of my body cuddling with my achy liver forever and seeking comfort. And that position resulted in the growing nerve pain in my back, hip and actually almost the whole right side of my body. I used massages to release the pain, but still couldn’t get much sleep at night.

During the winter my pain had gotten worse and became present in every inch of my body. I felt like a skinless organism with all its “wires” exposed and giving me electric shocks from any touch or move. The normal sleeping routine had become impossible, including many other familiar routines like walking without the fear of falling at any moment. The level of exhaustion had driven me to finding a solution. And I discovered Pine Baths!

Baths to strengthen the nervous system.

I mean “re-discovered” as I have known about the healing effect of those baths since my childhood when I would be taking them for my  rheumatic knee pain in a sanatorium for children near Odessa in Ukraine. The staff would use mud and pine baths for healing chronic illnesses in children, and I remember liking the approach back then. So, I did my search for those baths info on internet.
On Russian websites I have found great tips on how to make your own bath at home. I felt so lucky immediately that I wasn’t living in a dessert, but in New England instead and I could find pine, fur, spruce or other  evergreen trees on every corner!

So, when I had some extra energy I went hunting for the green needled branches. I collected plenty in a shopping bag and made my first calming bath with delight. After the course of 10, my body noticeably reacted in a positive way to such natural way of healing.

My sleep has improved noticeably.

The secret was in the vitamins that the needles contain.

#1. Important information before bath potion preparation.

  • It is better to collect pine or fur needles as far as possible from the road to avoid absorbed toxins
    and
in the winter as they have almost 2 times more vitamins than during summer.
  • If we talk about the content of vitamins, the pine needles have more of them than fur or spruce trees. Thus, 1 kg (about 2lb) of dry pine needles and spruce (respectively) contains vitamins B1 – 8 and 19 mg; B2 – 7 and 5 mg; B3 – 16 and 28 mg; K – 12 and 20 mg; E – 350 and 360 mg; P – 900-2300 and 2180-3810 mg; PP (niacin) – 142 and 29 mg; Biotin – 0.06, and 0.15mg; Folic acid – 7, and 8 mg.
  • In winter, the vitamin C content in the dry needles reaches 600 mg, whereas in the summer the amount drops to 250-300 mg.
  • It is best to use fresh needles. If this is not possible, you can take and use a dry mixture of needles, cones and twigs of pine or fur trees.
  • After collecting them, put the branches in the freezer to save the vitamins, for later use.

#2. Using your Christmas Tree for your healing bath.

Step 1. Remove all ornaments from your Christmas Tree and cut the smaller twigs with scissors. Collect everything in a bag.

Step 2. Fill up a big pot (1 gallon) with your green twigs and pour water to cover them completely.
Cover the pot with a lid and put on a stove.christmas tree for a healing bath- a pot

Step 3. Bring the pot to a boil and let your magic potion simmer for about 30 mins.
After 30 minutes turn the stove off.
You can see the needles will turn darker and start diffusing a wonderful aroma in the air. If you have a cold, or bronchitis, or headache, or just stressed out, carefully open the lid and allow the aroma to come out. Inhale that evaporated flavor to open up your lungs and relax your nervous system. Enjoy!

Step 4. Let it sit for 5-12 hours to cool off and the nutrients to be dissolved in the water.
Your potion should sit on the stove for a few hours, and become brown color. In order to avoid having needles or twigs in your bath, you should use a strainer to filter them out.

Step 5. Fill up your tub with clean hot water.
The intended water temperature in the bath after you add the potion, should be 34-37 ° C ( no higher than 100F).

Step 5. Preparing your magical and soothing healing bath.
If you have somebody to help you, then they can hold a strainer for you while you are pouring your healing potion into your tub. Otherwise, strain the liquid ahead of time in the kitchen.

Step 6.  The treatment time is 10-20 minutes.
Take pine/fur/spruce bath an hour before or after a meal and a 0.5-1.5 hours before going to bed.
The bath itself is very relaxing for the body and mind, but you can create a more sacred ritual for your successful healing by turning on a calm music and light a candle. After the relaxing bath, take a quick shower and go to bed. Avoid any conversations or checking your electronic devices for messages or news.

Suggestions:
If you have chronic muscle pain, fatigue, or  a sensitive nervous system, take such healing baths every other day for the total course of 10-12 procedures.
After this intensive course, follow with  supporting procedures 1-2 times a week. Six months later, repeat the course.

#3. The use of needles for liver recovery.

Take several small twigs of pine or spruce, boil in 0.5 liters (2 cups) of water on a water bath for 20-30 minutes. Drink half cup. Bitterness and disinfecting properties help liver function, restore liver cells, and at the same time heal the whole body due to the large amounts of vitamins.

WARNING:
Make sure to consult your doctor regarding pine baths or teas, especially if you have any challenging health issues
.

I have read that unfortunately, pine baths for all their virtues are not recommend for people suffering from cancer or atherosclerosis. I have no idea why as they have lots of Vitamin C to offer for the body, but I am just posting this as caution.

#4. About the MUSIC for a better sleep!

There are thousands of relaxing music, music plus hypnosis and meditation videos for a better sleep on youtube, but I have found out that every need is unique as well as every body. If you have some time, put your focus into investigating what music would be really helping YOUR body.
It took me some time to find those meditations and proper sounds and voices for myself and they helped me tremendously not to get into panic attacks when things were out of my control and at night my mind would get into its negative thinking loops.

I truly recommend this : PUT YOUR HEADPHONES ON  and don’t give any attention to your inner “bullshit”, but instead listen to some angelic voice signing some “Halleluah!” or “Everything will be all right!” into your ears, and in the morning you will have more energy,  f o r   s u r e!

One of the mediations that I would listen for weeks right after going to bed was The Secret Universal Mind Meditation by Kelly Howell. Kelly’s voice is soothing and comforting, and you would have a good reminder every night that you are not alone in your struggle. You are a Divine Being and connected to the field of Infinite Possibilities, and  if you seek comfort and support you will find it as well as your healing.

Blessings!
And I wish you to find a way to feel good every day!
