Hello, friends!
The following recipe I have  found on this Russian website for liver care and tried myself.
When your liver is not well, life isn’t fun at all and you are looking for any  possible remedies to get it back to normal functioning.

I loved the simplicity of this natural method and the yumminess of it.  Well, try it yourself!  And here we go:

HOW TO CLEANSE YOUR LIVER WITH PUMPKIN AND HONEY?

RECIPE 1. Take a ripe fruit of medium size, cut off its top and remove all the seeds by hand or with a spoon. Fill half of the emptied pumpkin with honey (the best would be Manuka honey or any organic raw honey), and cover the hole with the top. We need to make sure that sunlight and air are not going through the gap between the upper and lower parts of the pumpkin. So we can use a plain dough to secure that or a tape like shown on the picture.
Put your pumpkin somewhere away from sunlight in a dark cool place for 10 days.
Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day on an empty stomach half an hour before your meals for 21 days.
The syrup must be refrigerated after the use.

The first photo  is the result of my first attempt to make the Pumpkin syrup and using the dough for covering the top(as it is in the original recipe). I have recognized that it is too complicated and later preferred to use the tape. Bellow is the picture of  how the pumpkin looked after the required 10 days.

After removing the top, I was surprised to see that the pumpkin got filled with the syrup to the top!
Make sure you don’t make any cuts through the pumpkin’s bottom or make it very thin when clearing it from the seeds. I diid that mistake once, and my syrup was leaking through it covering the shelf with the sticky liquid I had to clean.
I tasted the syrup and it was very delicious! Then I poured my remedy into a jar.
I have come up with the idea of cutting the pumpkin to see if it is good enough to bake it.  And it looked very juicy after absorbing honey into the flesh. I cut it into pieces,  added a couple of pears to it with raisins and nuts, and brazed them with my Pumpkin syrup.
I baked my pumpkin and pears for about 35-40 mins in the 350F oven.
Pumpkins are very delicious and very rich in Vitamins A which liver loves ver much!

I am posting these Pumpkin Nutritional Facts from Wikipedia here to inspire you to eat this squash much more often. It is best for consuming it raw and add into salads instead of carrots. So, here is another healing recipe for you to try.

RECIPE 2.
Cleaning and restoring your liver can also be done with raw pumpkin without honey.
For this, take a medium-sized ripe pumpkin. Cut a piece from it in about a pound (500 g), remove seeds and peel it.
Grate your pumpkin preferably on a plastic grater and divide into 3 equal parts.
Eat each serving every day for 20-30 minutes before meals on an empty stomach for 3 weeks.

RECIPE 3.
The flesh of the pumpkin can also be used to make a freshly squeezed juice. To do this, Cut the pumpkin into pieces and make the juice in the juice maker. Drink your juice (half a cup) or about 120 ml three times a day on an empty stomach half an hour before a meal.
However, this method has a smaller effect because you miss the fiber, and therefore, the body’s cleansing is slower.

Enjoy the recipes!
And I hope you will find time to take care of your liver and not overload it with too much fatty or sweet food during Holidays 🙂
